RESOURCES: CONTENT DISTRIBUTION AND ORGANIZATION
TRY IT NOW
The PureSBDC platform is very good at automatically organizing your content,
and making it easy for clients and staff to find the information they need.
PureSBDC structures your website’s content as a collection of what
we call “resources”. A resource is a discrete piece of information—
which can be delivered as text on a webpage, or a link to another website, a slideshow, or a downloadable document,
picture, movie— or a zip file containing several files.
Every resource has categorization attributes that make it easy for clients and staff to
locate, sort, and filter to find particular resources.
You define the category topics.
Clients can click PureSBDC’s “Information Resources” menu item to get a list of all resources.
As with PureSBDC’s other lists, clients can filter the resources in various ways.
For instance, they can choose to view only website links, or only articles.
They can combine these filters to focus in on the content they seek.
For example, they can look for all articles pertaining to Human Resources.
To view a resource, click on its name in the list, and a resource “details” page appears.
In the upper-right corner is a list of all categories this resource fits into.
Click a category to view a list of other resources within the same category.
Microsoft Word
a word processor; part of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Depending upon the resource type, a list of Helper Applications appears on a
resource’s details page. For instance, if the resource is a Word document,
then the client is informed that they will need Microsoft Word in order to access the resource.
A click on the helper application’s name links to a page where the helper
program may be downloaded (or purchased from your PureSBDC online store).
Resources can be text on webpages, links to other websites, or downloadable documents, pictures, movies, or zip files
