CLIENT REGISTRATION
TRY IT NOW
Before clients can receive online or one-to-one counseling, they must complete the
SBA Request for Counseling Form 641. PureSBDC automates this process, making it
faster for clients to complete the form, and easier for staff to review and
approve the application.
Clients visit your website, click the “Register” button,
learn about the benefits of registration, and complete an online request-for-counseling
intake form. Clients create their own passwords, and PureSBDC automatically
generates their unique username.

Based upon the client’s zipcode, the PureSBDC system assigns the client to a local
SBDC office, then sends an email to the appropriate staff at that center. The staff
member logs into the Backstage, reviews the application, assigns a counselor, then
clicks a button to approve the application. Upon approval, all client data is
automatically (optionally) sent to Center IC, and a “welcome” email is sent to
the registered client containing their PureSBDC username and login instructions.

CLIENT LOGINS TRY IT NOW
It is important for you to know who is accessing your content, so PureSBDC provides
a sophisticated tracking system that relies upon logins. In order to view PureSBDC
content (such as resources and workshops), clients must login. PureSBDC supports
three kinds of sign-ins:
Zipcode. Casual site visitors may sign-in anonymously
using just their zipcode. The zipcode is used as a reporting mechanism which helps
ensure continued SBDC funding and the ability to provide resources to clients free-of-charge.
Registered Client Username. Registered Counseling
Clients use a password of their choice and a username assigned to them
by the PureSBDC system.
Staff Username. Staff can use their Backstage
username and password to sign-in to your public website.
People sometimes forget their passwords, so the PureSBDC platform has two automated
password recovery mechanisms: users can answer a security question to reset their
password immediately, or have a new password emailed to them. And, of course,
staff can always go Backstage and create new client passwords manually.
